Hi, I'm Andy and this is my musical project qctqpus. I'm not sure how that's actually pronounced, though I don't think it matters much whether it's 'k't-k-pus' or just 'octopus with Qs', though probably 'cocktcapus' is maybe more lewd than I was aiming for.
I got the idea for qctqpus when I was thinking about pushing the pop music I was making in my old casioband harm further into the realm of minimalism like Reich and Riley or the realm of whateverthehell you want to call people like John Zorn. The idea was, and is, to write non-repeating pop songs. I don't think there's any other constraint than that.
The next release will be called Possible Labyrinths and will be 40 song parts that can be assembled in any group of four to make ten songs.
